Newbury Park Community Information

Ventura County: Newbury Park

The community of Newbury Park is located in the western portion of the city of Thousand Oaks and Casa Conejo, an unincorporated area of southern Ventura County.  One of the lovely communities of the Conejo Valley, Newbury Park abuts the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, with main entrances at the northern edge of the park at Rancho Sierra Vista and Satwiwa.

The Conejo Valley is one of the most affluent areas in the country.  Presently, Newbury Park has one of the highest median home values in all of Ventura County and was ranked as one of the top 100 places to live in the country by Moley Magazine.

The community is served by the Thousand Oaks Library System with two libraries, the Grant R. Brimhall Library, the largest in the region, and the Newbury Park Branch Library.

One of the most beautiful developments in Southern California, Newbury Park is home to Dos Vientos,  a new community with construction starting in the late 1990's.  In the ensuing years, the area has become known for its hiking and biking trails.  For the most part,  singletracks are newly constructed to modern multiuse standards. The sometimes hilly trails are well maintained and the tread is firm, smooth and wide.  With an almost country setting with rolling lush hills and attractive living conditions,  Dos Vientos is the jewel in the crown of Newbury Park.
