Moorpark is nestled in a flourishing valley in south-eastern
Ventura County, 50 miles northwest of Los Angles. Moorpark
has a population of 28,377. It has an elevation of 500
feet and is surrounded by hills with a backdrop of the
Topa Top Mountain Range. The average low temperature
is 49 degrees and the average high is 78 degrees. The
average year's rainfall is 15 inches. Prevailing winds
are from the southwest.

vocational studies. Unique to Moorpark College is
the Exotic Animal Training and Management curriculum.

also boast Ventura County's only public observatory.
