| Veteran agent Veronica Munoz
was born and raised in Oxnard, where she attended local schools and graduated
from Oxnard High School. She
earned her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from California Lutheran
University (CLU) in Thousand Oaks in 1999, majoring in Spanish, with a minor in
English Writing. She graduated
Summa Cum Laude and went on to take her master’s degree in education from UC Santa Barbara.
In earning her California teaching credential, she graduated Summa Cum
Laude once more – a testament to her work ethic and dedication to being a
“lifelong learner,” as Veronica explains it. Having worked as a fourth and fifth grade
teacher from 2000 until 2004, Veronica can provide in-depth information
regarding local schools.
Veronica loves to read, garden
and ride horses. She also loves to ski and spends a lot of time in Big Bear,
Tahoe, etc. She is very fond of
Monterey and Carmel and enjoys spending time there. She is bilingual, fluent in
English and Spanish and studied abroad in Mexico. Veronica is passionate about Mexico and has been to many of
the country’s beaches multiple times.
She is also familiar with many inland destinations. She loves to go off
the beaten path to quaint little towns, always seeking new places to explore.
In 2004, Veronica and her
husband purchased BG’s Café in Downtown Oxnard. They run the restaurant together. They currently live in
Downtown Oxnard in the Historic District where they are restoring a 1903
Victorian Cottage. “It’s a huge
endeavor, but we love the home and the area we live in because we can actually
walk to dinner and a movie in our new (and improving) downtown,” says
Veronica. She adds, “I
was on the Downtown Management District for six years, as a Board Member, helping downtown Oxnard grow and become a better place.” She attends many local charity and
networking events/dinners and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce.
Regarding her
career choice as a Realtor, Veronica decided to move into this field because
she enjoys working closely with people and finds that helping others search for
that perfect home or investment is very exciting. “I am honored to help my clients make such an important
decision.” She decided to become a
Realtor after having a great experience with her own Realtor when purchasing
her first home. “I love to crunch
numbers for people when they are buying a rental/s, but I also enjoy going
through the logistics of setting up a first-time home buyer for the myriad of
things they must consider in purchasing and in the future of owning their new
home. Overall, I love the hunt in
viewing properties with my clients, until we find the right one for them.” As Veronica says, “Finding your dream home or investment property is my
priority.” |
