| Born and raised in the South Bay in Southern California,
(the Redondo Beach area), veteran agent Chris Martinov moved to Ventura County
in 1979 to attend private boarding school in Ojai, until 1984. In 1988, he graduated from USC with a
degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance.
Chris then moved back to the South Bay until 1995. Says Chris, "I got married and
moved back to Ventura County in 1998 to raise my family. We currently live in
Thousand Oaks. I have a wife and 4 school-age children." The Martinov family lives in the Old
Meadows tract of Thousand Oaks, behind Conejo Creek Park. "I chose Ventura County since it
was a slower pace than where I was relocating from, and a nicer place to raise
my family."
Chris' father is a real estate developer and broker and his grandfather is a real estate broker as well,
so Chris has been around real estate all of his life in one form or
another. He has been in commercial
real estate finance for 22 years, managing several local and national loan
underwriting and processing departments.
Semi-hobby and semi-professional, photography is Chris'
passion. He started his my own
photography business in 2008, specializing in weddings and portraits. He also enjoys computer graphics.
"I have played drums in several Southern California
based bands and still continue to play today. I also play guitar."
Chris has coached his kids' Thousand Oaks Little League
teams and AYSO Soccer teams for the past 8 years. He is involved with his local church and has been involved
in several mission trips to Cambodia, working on rebuilding orphanages with his
church. He enjoys traveling and
camping at the beach with his family.
