Kathy Smiley brings to Prudential a professional expertise in helping
clients make sound investment decisions. Prior to her successful career
in real estate, Kathy was a municipal bond trader for over eighteen
years, where she developed a well-grounded knowledge of investing and
built a solid reputation for helping clients build strong financial
"houses." Known also for her personable nature, Kathy brings a high
level of energy along with a level-headed approach to achieving your
real estate results.
Transitioning from investments
into real estate several years ago was a natural choice for Kathy. "I
have a strong background in working not only with clients to achieve
their financial needs, but also with the professionals and support
people who handle the details in the background." It is that steadfast
attention and her dependability in achieving the highest level of
results that pleases her clients the most, she says.
Originally
natives of Kansas City, Missouri, Kathy and her husband, Chet, an
insurance professional, moved into the Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks
area with their three children in 1990. After graduating college, their
two daughters settled down in the Conejo Valley with their husbands and
children, while their son visits from Kansas with his wife and two
little ones several times a year. Kathy and Chet now have eight
grandchildren: five boys, three girls.
With such a large
family living in the area, Kathy is "absolutely invested in this
community." She lists among her civic activities: Westlake Village -
Thousand Oaks Chamber of Commerce; Chamber "Leadership Conejo"; Vice
President, Women's Council of the Conejo Valley; New West Symphony
League member and a host of the annual Pleasure of Your Company event;
and annual docent volunteer for the Wellness Community Holiday Homes
Tour.
