Real Estate professional Bob Mills has a varied and interesting
background. He started his business career as an animation cameraman.
Credits for his work on special effects, as a technical coordinator, and
as a cameraman over many years, are almost countless, and very high
profile.
Bob strongly feels that there are many things about the
television industry that relate to the Real Estate profession. “First,
I was an independent contractor. Second, a cameraman must understand
the vision of others to achieve a look and coverage of a scene. Third, a
successful cameraman must be personable, courteous, punctual and above
all, be a good listener!”
Bob and his wife bought their first
home in Canoga Park and started a family. As their two children became
school age, the Mills moved to the Bent Tree neighborhood of Oak Park
for the quality of life and excellent schools. “We’ve been patting
ourselves on the back ever since!” says Bob, after 14 happy years in Oak
Park.
Bob enjoys playing tennis in an Oak Park league, golfing
all over the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County, big game fishing
and sailing. He and his wife Hollis are active in Boy Scouts (Bob and
his son are both Eagle Scouts). They also love travel and spending time
with family and friends.
When the Mills bought their second
home, they met a great Realtor. They loved the work he did for them,
and it inspired in Bob a keen interest in the profession. He adds, “I’m
